Features & usage

A sync defines how events are copied or mirrored between calendars. For example, a one-way sync copies events from your work calendar to your personal calendar.

One-way sync copies events in a single direction. Multi-way sync keeps events updated across multiple calendars.

Log in to Am I Free, choose your calendar provider (Google or Outlook), and follow the prompts to authorise access. We only request the permissions needed to sync your events.

Syncs happen near real-time, usually updating within a few minutes.

Events synced one-way are read-only in the destination calendar. To make changes, edit the original event.

Deleting an event in your source calendar removes it from the synced calendars.

Troubleshooting & support

First, try disabling and re-enabling the sync. If that doesn't work, reconnect your Google or Microsoft account. Common causes include expired permissions, revoked access, or changes to your calendar account settings. If the issue continues, contact our support team at support@amifree.co.

We lose permission to sync your events. You will need to reconnect the account to resume syncing.

We only sync events from the date you set up the sync. Recurring events are included if they extend into the future.
